It's a neap tide this week and we have a huge range
of fish available for the weekend.
Red mullet season has begun and Willie has been out with his net and has caught a boat load. Gutted and scaled, this delicate beauty is prepared and ready for the pan or grill. One not to be missed this week. If you're a fan of little fishes, we've got whole herring and horse mackerel. Both are excellent value and are divine when eaten off the bone. Marius has also been busy filleting some mini mackerel - fry these tiny fillets, their crispy skin is a real treat. Finally, we have some great sized whole whiting and haddock. Bake them as simply as possible, they are so fresh they need little cooking or seasoning. Working with a small family run co-operative based on the South Cornish
coast, our fish is caught using environmentally friendly static nets that
don't disturb the sea bed.
It will be iced in boxes before being couriered over night to our depot - you really can't get fresher than that! Don't forget you you can still place your Farm Direct order for delivery tomorrow.
